I now illustrate a monthly article “It Happened to Me”, edited by Jo Mattock, in DIVE Magazine. This is the illustration for January’s illustration, which is out now.

I manage Andrew Palmer’s website and over the past few months I’ve been working on a complete redesign. Finally it’s gone live!
Thank you James Cooper for all the programming and making our ideas work!
I visited the ss Great Britain today and it was great to see my illustration in use…
The cardboard lunchbox I illustrated for the ss Great Britain just before the summer arrived in the post last month, but I never got round to blogging it. 10,000 have been printed, so if you happen to be visiting their cafe over the next few years you’ll see them in use. It’s definitely exciting seeing my artwork printed on something that is three dimensional.
The charity Kid’s In Museums has just uploaded a great review of the ss Great Britain’s “Let’s Dine” theme by Rose Silvester onto their website, which includes some encouraging remarks about the trails I designed for them.
“The family trails are beautifully designed and illustrated. There’s ‘The Captain’s Table Trail’, for under-sevens, and ‘The Floating Cook’s Trail’ for seven to 11-year olds. With stickers, scratch and sniff panel, and lots of jokes these are worth keeping after a visit.”
I spent the summer working on a cutaway map of the ss Great Britain site, which was finally signed off a few days ago. Here is the progress I made building up and developing the artwork with the lovely people at the ss Great Britain.
I’ve just had a couple of weeks off after a very hectic summer. Drinking tea, vintage shopping, exhibitions and late night discussions around fires mean I’m now refreshed and ready to get going again…
(Thanks Nicola for the photo.)
This is the brand new brochure for Upcott, which is where I live and work (when I’m not working on my own commissions).
I had a very busy morning stuffing envelopes, so if you are on the mailing list, then it should be dropping through your door in a couple of days with all the 2012 booking details! If you’re not on the mailing list, but are interested in Upcott’s work and would like to receive one then email team@upcott.org.uk.
